    CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia) is the first-line, evidence-based treatment for chronic insomnia, recommended over sleep medication by major clinical guidelines. Miles Psychology offers CBT-I in Calgary and virtually across Alberta and Canada.

    With years of experience spanning sleep research to clinical application, I specialize in evidence-based sleep treatment for people who are ready to stop managing exhaustion and start actually recovering.

    Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Insomnia (ACT-I) and CPAP adherence strategies for those navigating sleep apnea treatment, I help individuals identify and address the root causes of poor sleep, not just the symptoms.   • Train Your Nervous System Like You Train Your Body.

    Most of us know when we're stressed, but few of us know how to reliably shift out of it. HRV biofeedback changes that using real-time data from your heart rate patterns, you learn to train your nervous system, building a skill that carries into every area of your life.

    HRV biofeedback is a powerful tool, and it's used as part of an integrated approach to care. Your nervous system doesn't exist in isolation. Your thoughts, behaviours, and environment all shape how it functions, which is why biofeedback works best when it's woven into the bigger picture of your treatment, not used in isolation.

    It's used by elite athletes, military personnel, and high performers to improve recovery, sharpen focus, and build resilience under pressure. It's also an effective tool for people dealing with chronic stress, burnout, and anxiety whose nervous systems are stuck in overdrive.

    Sessions involve baseline assessment, education on how your nervous system works, and guided training with biofeedback technology. Between sessions, you'll practice with a simple home monitor and we'll review your data together as you progress.
